Marcus Morrell, began studying still photography early in high school, Tasmania.

The focus was then based around his passion for surfing and the ocean surrounding the beautiful island state.

After experimenting with video and editing, this lead him to study and complete a bachelor of film production in Byron Bay, NSW.

Outside of study requirements, Marcus gained experience shooting world famous acts at Blues Fest, worked on advertisements and short films, attended cinematography masterclasses with some of Australia's leading cinematographers and released an educational DVD 'Concept Art: an introduction'.

He shot and released 'Metanoia' a surf and base jumping film in 2013. This was selected for the Sydney Surf Film Festival and has screened in Argentina and Berlin. It has also been selected for screening at the 2018 Prague surf film festival.

 

He has shot and written articles for London Street Art Design magazine. Worked as Audio and Lighting engineer at Big Day Out local stages and Origin Festival.
